The Reggio province is the tip of Italy: the Strait with Sicily thirty minutes away, Scilla and the Costa Viola on the Tyrrhenian, the Locride and its medieval villages on the Ionian, Aspromonte in between.

Here I have photographed the baroque residence of Villa Caristo in Stignano, weddings across the Locride and sessions among the stones of Gerace. And I cross the Strait often: Messina is half an hour away, and Villa Pulejo is one of the residences I know best.
