The Vibo Valentia province holds the most photographed stretch of Calabrian coast — Tropea, Capo Vaticano, the Costa degli Dei — and, half an hour away, the forests of the Serre and Serra San Bruno. Two opposite worlds in the same province.

It is destination-wedding country: couples flying in look for Tropea, drawn by the sea and by Santa Maria dell'Isola. But it is also where I recommend forest elopements, when a couple want silence instead of set design.
