Messina · ME · Sicilia
Villa Pulejo is an 1880 residence in Tremestieri, at the gates of Messina: in its park grows a Ficus Magnolia planted in 1860, a monumental tree worth an entire portrait session on its own. From the Strait you can see Calabria: for me it is almost home.
The villa combines nineteenth-century interior elegance with a park that offers real shade even in full Sicilian summer. That is the combination I look for when the wedding falls in the hot months and the light has to be tamed rather than endured.
For Calabrian couples choosing Sicily — or Messina couples looking towards Calabria — the Strait is not an obstacle: it is a thirty-minute crossing that opens two regions inside the same story.

Frequently asked
Yes, regularly. Messina is half an hour from Calabria and Villa Pulejo is one of the residences I know best.
It is the villa's strongest set: a Ficus Magnolia planted in 1860, on a scale that makes everyone beneath it look small.
