It is a pleasure to present the wedding of Iole and Francesco — I have known the groom for a lifetime. My work puts the emotions of life's important moments at the centre, with particular attention to details and to locations chosen with taste.
The ceremony took place at the Mausoleum of Santa Costanza, in Rome's Trieste district; the reception then welcomed guests at Villa Piccolomini, one of the capital's most sought-after wedding venues.
Villa Piccolomini
The villa stands beside the Janiculum Hill, in the heart of Rome. In ancient Roman times it was a vineyard; over the centuries it passed through many hands until Anna Menotti Piccolomini and her son Nicolò, a count and stage actor, who bequeathed it to his fellow theatre actors during the Second World War.
Its vast park looks towards St. Peter's Basilica: umbrella pines and Italian gardens frame the ancient portico facing Michelangelo's Dome. Being so close to San Pietro means couple portraits in one of the most iconic places in the world.
